UNE's Elizabeth Crampsey named Distinguished Fellow of Occupational Therapy Academy
A champion of interprofessional education at UNE, Crampsey has served as associate dean of Academic Affairs in UNE's Westbrook College of Health Professions since 2023
Elizabeth Crampsey, Ed.D., M.S., OTR/L, BCPR, associate dean of academic affairs in the 51情报站鈥檚 Westbrook College of Health Professions (WCHP) has been elected a Distinguished Fellow in the Occupational Therapy Academy of the National Academies of Practice.
Crampsey was inducted as part of the National Academies of Practice Class of 2026 during the organization鈥檚 annual induction ceremony, held March 14 in Indianapolis.
The National Academies of Practice recognizes individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their profession and are committed to advancing interprofessional education, research, practice, and public policy to support collaborative health care.
Crampsey, who has served as associate dean of Academic Affairs in WCHP since 2023, is a clinical professor in UNE鈥檚 Department of Occupational Therapy. She brings extensive experience across clinical, academic, and leadership roles, with a background spanning pediatric and acute care settings. Her work has focused on areas including neuro-recovery, early mobilization in intensive care, and team-based approaches to patient care.
An active contributor to both occupational therapy and interprofessional education communities, Crampsey has been a strong advocate for collaborative learning across health disciplines. At UNE, she mentors students pursuing the Interprofessional Honors Distinction through the Center to Advance Interprofessional Education and Practice, helping prepare future health professionals for team-based care environments.

Drawing on her experience leading interprofessional education initiatives and mentoring future clinicians at UNE, Crampsey said her work is grounded in preparing students for collaborative, patient-centered care.
